Become a Solicitor
Yes, that’s right – you could even become a solicitor through an apprenticeship! It’s a Level 7 programme – meaning you could gain a Master’s degree – but there are some prerequisites that are recommended in order to be eligible for the course.
These include:
- Five GCSE’s (including English & Maths)
- Three A-Levels (or equivalent) – minimum grade C
- Relevant employer-led work experience
- Level 3 advanced apprenticeship in a relevant occupation (such as Business Administration or Legal Services)
- Level 4 higher apprenticeship in a relevant occupation (such as Legal Services or Providing Financial Advice)
Become an Engineer
Engineering is a popular university degree course. But don’t be fooled, you can still pursue a career within this sector through an apprenticeship.
Work experience within this sector means you are able to see if this is the career for you before spending thousands of pounds studying for it – it’s a win-win!

Get a degree
Degree apprenticeships are the new cool kids on the block. They’re popular as you don’t have to pay the traditional university fees you would with a regular university degree. They’re free!
It’s an opportunity for school and college leavers to leap straight into career, with an industry-designed degree and none of the debt.
How do they work?
Funding for degree apprenticeships is divided between the government, who pay two-thirds, and your employer. It’s like a full-time job, with the benefit of studying for a degree alongside it!
