What is an assurance apprenticeship?
As an Assurance apprentice, you’ll help businesses protect themselves from risks affecting their reputation and performance. And, while technology increasingly automates the routine work, you can expect more freedom to focus on clients. And clients are a big part of the job.
You won’t be hiding away behind the scenes here. You’ll be developing key relationships and making them last – all while building a better working world through big and impactful projects.
You’ll be encouraged to succeed by an apprenticeship coach and supported by a team that provide useful resources for your studies.
“The people that work here are really supportive and want to help you to develop in the role you are in. There is a good culture among teams and I feel really supported and feel that I have lots of opportunities to develop and grow which is key for me.”
What will you be doing?
During your Assurance Apprenticeship at EY, you’ll spend most of your time in a client-facing role as part of the Audit team.
You’ll get involved with impactful projects right from the start. Tasks will include:
- Getting to know EY’s clients, their businesses and how they work
- Testing cheques and balances to ensure they work how they’re supposed to
- Analysing financial statement data to ensure it is true and fair.
The best thing about it all? You’ll get the training you need from day one and earn an industry-recognised qualification, so you’ll be work-ready by the time you finish the apprenticeship.
