Measuring and estimating materials for brickwork and blockwork in large construction sites typically in London. Creating relationships with clients and contractors. Attending meetings during the tender stage. Visiting sites to ensure all works are completed to specifications and identify any snags.
Through the exerience, i have become more confident in my communication skills, having a good relationship with all my colleagues. I have also developed my mathematical skills, putting my measuring and calculating abilities into practice.
I have been enjoying my programme a lot as it combines multiple interests of mine, creating a pleasant place to work in.
The course is very relaxed while having a set end goal of completing varoous tasks in order to obtain my qualification.
I receive lots of support and encouragement from my employer. Receiving various experiences in the construction industry that can be very enjoyable and educating. I can also ask any questions when i require help.
My training provider always sets up various different ways of presenting the course to us, whether that be in person or over an online meeting. They are always there to assist in my understanding of the course.
The course feels very tailored to what i am currently doing in my work and helps me understand from all perspectives with the inustry what i am doing.
In my work, i am allowed to visit sites regularly which helps create strong relationships with various people from the industry and learn about their role in helping to create our buildings.

It is great experience of teamwork and enhances your communication skills greatly. It is also extremely educative and gives the exact skills required to become a professional in your area.
