So far I have found the office welcoming and appreciative of the communication between my colleagues. Several people here have been here for over five years to even over twenty years which illustrates that the company values its workers and take care of them. It’s a place that looking forward to working at.
I’d say that I’ve learnt several new skills such as being able to piece together drawings whether that’s brickwork or blockwork independently as I’ve become more confident in myself.
I’d say excellent, I have been provided a lot of resources and time which has meant that my learning has been supported. The sort of environment I’m in encourages me to reach out when I need help but also pushes me to work by myself in a healthy way.
I feel like the structure of the programme has worked out well for me as I take on real world past projects which sometimes have only just been submitted so I’m able to compare how well I would’ve done.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. For example we are given opportunities to go down to London where ongoing projects are visited and I am given a visual example of the work that goes on.
We’ve been let known that if we ever have questions or inquiries that we could reach out to our mentor there. I rated it 10/10 as when it’s possible we do sessions face to face which shows the commitment and guidance they are ready to give.
I feel really good about it. We are given time to look over a lesson once it’s finished and the way it’s formed has benefited me a lot in reinforcing the things we have gone through.
Yes there are professional networking events. As of the date this was posted the last known one was a sustainability presentation in which covered how much carbon emissions we have and will reduce using.
Yes
Not only is it a company that takes pride in the work that is done but the way that colleagues interact with each other helps bring a positive and healthy environment which helps boost morale within the workplace. With that said as mentioned before some people have been here from eight years to well and over twenty years which in my eyes is a really good sign.
A bit of advice I’d give is to be willing to learn and to have enthusiasm to develop your skills.
