Looking after the bar by keeping up with cleaning jobs, glassware, re stocking products . Serving food and drinks to guests - bar and table service. Guest facing front of house.
I have improved my knowledge from knowing nothing about hospitality or a bar to being able to run the bar on my own within 1 year . My overall confidence level has improved. My people skills and communication has improved.
I enjoyed my apprenticeship a lot, my tutor was supportive and it was easy to understand and keep on top of work. The environment I work in is fun and Iove working with the team.
Very well organised as the learning is through aptem and you can see your progress clearly. There are also monthly meetings with your coach to catch up and review progress.
I receive a decent amount of support from my employer.
I receive a great deal of support from my tutor he prepared me very well for my exams. He was understanding of any barriers.
I think the learning backs up what I’ve learned through doing the job and it has also helped me take that knowledge and apply it to my job. There are extra things you can learn about for example the wine pairings course helped me advise customers .
There are charity events which you can take part in during and out of work, there are plenty of opportunities for social activities for example quizzes and hangouts etc
Yes
It’s a good opportunity and a good pathway into hospitality
Stay on top of your work when possible to make it easier, take notes when you can. Volunteer to do extra work/ more opportunities to get your experience in as it counts towards to your apprenticeship. Have fun and get involved in social events
