  • My role is Front of House, which involves, serving customers food and drinks, serving and cleaning table, taking out food, preparing deserts, making sure everyone has a pleasant experience. To go above and beyond to ensure we are the best we can be.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Confidence has been the biggest development I have made. Having faith in myself and believing I can overcome my anxiety with the knowledge I have learnt.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really loved it. The help was there when I needed it. Everything was easy and straight forward to learn. Help was always there when I needed and my learning coach was super understanding.

  • Very well organised. Everything was explained to me at the beginning.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support whenever I need it. Even when I am curious about the technical side of things in the office.

  • A lot of training support. Always there to ask questions.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • All of it. The amount of things I have learned had helped me come out of my shell and enjoy interacting with customers.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a work bingo. Each day there is a list of items we try to upsell. For example, selling sides, wines, desserts. The winners get a prize.

  • Yes

  • You feel a sense of accomplishment when you complete say an apprenticeship or hosted a big event.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mitchells & Butlers?
  • Just be yourself. Don’t hesitate to ask for help. There will be people to help you, no matter how many times you ask the same question.
