  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship at Mondelez. From the development opportunities i have received, to the support from colleagues and opportunities to travel abroad, i cannot praise my apprenticeship journey enough. I have also enjoyed studying at University alongside working. The program i studied (Supply Chain Management) was well suited to my day-to-day role whilst also enabling me to gain valuable insights and context into the wider business.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well structured. Moving roles annually allowed me to develop a broad, invaluable skillset whilst remaining adaptable to change. Mondelez took my interests into consideration when determining my roles, enabling me to understand areas i do and do not like. I was given 1 day a week at University. This worked well as allowed me to fully focus on my studies without the distraction of work. Colleagues and management were always understanding and supportive of this day being dedicated to study.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Mondelez have been very supportive. I received a buddy, mentor and early careers point of contact from the day I joined, who have remained consistent throughout the program. My wider colleague network have been supportive of my development, always bringing me into opportunities where I can build new skills and grow.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Aston University have been very supportive. I have frequent performance review meetings with my Tutor and Manager where valuable feedback was provided. In addition to this, tutors always made themselves available to connect where additional support was needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Initially, i was concerned as my course only has one small module specific to my business function. However, as i settled into the course it became clear that content could be well aligned with my day to day role when looking from another perspective. My course also equipped me well for collaborating with cross functional colleagues. My tutor made a conscious effort to relate work back to my day to day role where the dots may not have typically been connected.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of exciting opportunities to get involved in things beyond the classic scope of your role. My function has regular social activities outside of work, along with an annual team building event which was held in Madrid last year. In addition to this, I have been an ambassador for our internal wellbeing program (BOOST) and with our Exrernal Ally GroceryAid. Further, I have had the opportunity to support our Early Careers network a many events.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Mondelez to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • For all of the reasons listed above, I cannot recommend a Degree apprenticeship at Mondelez more. I have had an amazing, broad, supportive experience with countless opportunities. I am confident my Degree apprenticeship has equipped me well for the next steps of my career journey.
