  • I enjoy my day to day role a lot. Now I have a set territory assignment I feel more responsible for the work I do, which motivates me to work hard.

  • I have one assigned day for university a week which works well.

  • I receive a moderate amount of support from my employer. My manager is the liaison with the university which helps.

  • Support is provided where necessary.

  • The degree is quite technical, whereas my role isn't necessary. The knowledge is still valuable though.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, I do a lot of giveback at IBM. I am the co-founder and co-lead of a Pitching/Presenting community. I co-lead the relationship with one of the BPs, Softcat. I run a new initiative called The Wild Duck Cafe, as well as other events.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It looks after its early professionals well and provides necessary support. There is a wide range of roles that employees can explore throughout their time at IBM.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
  • Be yourself, because IBM prefers unique candidates, as opposed to the 'perfect' candidate.
