1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a Design Manager I collaborate with Architects and Engineers to bring the project’s vision to life. I assist in managing Construction Design Processes and Resources constantly ensuring Compliance with Regulations and Standards. Design Managers translate Construction Design Concepts into Reality.

I have developed Technical skills, attention to detail, leadership skills, problem solving skills as well as organisational and time management skills.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year at mace. It has not only solidified my passion for design and business but equipped me with the skills and confidence to advance in my career.

well structured, regular check ins, training, personal development sessions and assistance when needed

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive support from my employer as and when requested.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I don't receive enough support from my training provider. there are still a few things upcoming for my academic qualification whereby I have some ambiguity which hasn't been resolved or answered.

I don't feel as though the qualification that I am studying is best suited to my role and doesn't align with my ambitions.

i have recently requested getting involved in the WAM erg at mace.
