I manage shopping centres and am involved with calculating turnover rents, tracking and strategising regarding arrears, communicating with tenants and clients to ensure we are meeting their strategy.
Yes I have developed skills of using complex data systems, communicating with clients and colleagues and also presenting data and analysing information.
I really enjoy this program as I am able to gain valuable experience in the workplace while being able to earn and also achieve a degree with my allocated study time.
I am enjoying the structure as there is a distinct split between my studying and my work where I am able to focus on my studies during times I do not have any work to focus on or be distracted by.
A lot, my line manager meets with me regularly to catch up with me, I have a buddy who is also an apprentice to ask apprenticeship related queries and I also have many people in my team and wider team who I can ask for work related advice.
I have an apprenticeship outcome officer who I can contact anytime that I have a UCEM related query and I also have forums where I can contact module leaders and other pupils with any degree queries that I have.
As it's early I have not completed a lot of my studies however I have already found a lot of the sustainability work beneficial in helping me understand ESG within my role.
Yes there are a lot of opportunities to get involved in for example I was involved in a wheelchair basketball event the other week where I met people from other offices and departments.
Yes
A lot of support during a difficult transition from education to a full time job which I am having to balance with a degree. This allows me to be in my degree mindset during study days and work mindset during my working days.
Be confident and think about what we as a team would want from an apprentice not only as a employee but as a team member and friend.
