  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves completing and assisting with small company accounts and audits. It also involves client communications via email, telephone and face to face meetings or premises visits. I also work on VAT returns and the occasional bookkeeping job.

  • The skills I have developed are, speaking to clients, accounting knowledge, excel, accounts packages, working in an office environment.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy it due to the ability to do quarterly exams. This is more enjoyable than learning lots of topics and do all of the exams at the end like school. I am able to learn the content then sit the exam.

  • It is very well structured. I am given a clear plan at the start of each level.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employers are always there to help me when I need them. If I am struggling on a topic they will explain it to me the best they can. They also attend all of my progress meetings with my college.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive lots of support, from 1 to 1 teaching if required, lots of resources, mock tests and catchups with my skills coach after all exams.

  • I am taught all of the required knowledge and more to apply to my workload.

  • Yes, we take part in an annual 5 a side tournament, and I am in charge or running quarterly socials.
