Working in audit and accounts involves high levels of communication with colleagues and clients. I analyse data and sometimes present my findings to others, or detail the results in paper documentation. I also take part in local community events as a representative for my company raising money for local charities.
I have developed my communications skills over many platforms even being a panelist on a webinar to secondary schools in Hertfordshire. This has therefore helped to develop my presentation skills. I have increased my time management skills as we have deadlines to work on as a team and therefore need work together to achieve the task.
I enjoy learning and being able to link this to my role.
My programme is well structured with both tuition and revision courses. There is always on going support outside of these weeks if required.
My employer is always around to support my skills and knowledge development. They offer help with my studies as well as providing on the job training.
I have both tuition and revision courses, quarterly review meetings and know who to call if I ever require help. They also offer ongoing development through podcasts and news letter to talk about real world situations.
I have learnt the foundation of my role through my qualification and have then been able to apply this to my day to day role. As my qualifications have furthered I have been able develop a higher level of understanding and sue this to explain client queries also.
I frequently attend professional networking events as well as organising them. I take part in community events in the local community on behalf of my employers and have taken part in charity sport events run by my training provider.
Yes
They have supported me through work and personal development and I have gained an extra work family.
Be open to pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, you cannot develop if you only do things that you know how to.
