  • Attending patients in an emergency setting, assessing, treating and managing emergency medicine and situations. Transporting patients to definitive care.

  • I found the course very intense which subsequently had a negative effect on my mental health. I did however leave the course learning lots of new skills and knowledge and received good results at the end.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Cannot fault the tutors and the level of support I received throughout and continue to receive on a monthly basis. Fantastic support network throughout and all tutors were very approachable.

  • After the 16 week course block I attend training school once per month where I receive a full day of tuition and support followed by a 1-1 tutorial to catch up and discuss any concerns.

  • I feel I have made amazing progress in my career at YAS, I have only worked here 4 years and the progression I have made is amazing. I’m proud of myself and couldn’t have done it without the supposed of my colleagues.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Yorkshire Ambulance Service?
  • Be prepared for intense work. It is doable if you commit 100%. The staff are very supportive, approachable and friendly.
