Audit - have to make queries to clients over balances within their financial statements. Have to draft financial statements for clients. Have conversations with managers over riskier areas of audit and how to test these balances. Then perform testing on these balances and ensure assurance is gained.
Yes - maths skills as consistently working with numbers. Communication skills as often communicating with clients as well as managers and partners. Also developed Excel skills through consistent use. Lots of social skills as work with a large number of trainees.
Due to the large number of trainees that we employ, I enjoy the programme quite a lot. Been able to make lots of friends and as there are a lot of people who are in a similar position to you, it is easy to develo skills and relationships with people.
Well organised - I know what I am doing well in advance and where and when I need to be getting things done by.
Very willing to give support when asked. They do consider the amount of work you do on a daily basis and try not to make you run down. However there are times when it is exceptionally busy and therefore do have to do a lot. The team who control the apprenticeship are very good at providing support
Training provider are very willing to help - good at providing support. Sometimes the tutors are not to the highest quality but this can often be personal preference and they have good resources to support when training.
Definitely, feels very relevant to the role in Audit.
Yes, lots of social activities and there are sports teams I have been involved in. Lots of opportunities to meet people and other trainees.
