  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a day to day basis I have to do many jobs like opening and closing the shop myself. As well as managing staff on their daily tasks as well. I would also have to complete safe checks and pick ups every day.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have developed some of my skills like my communications skills has definitely improved since starting working here. I also feel like my confidence has 100% gone up more than before.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love this programme because it gives me a chance to learn whilst I’m working. It never feels like I don’t know what I am doing on a day to day basis. Also everyone I work with is very supportive in making sure I have my work done and seeing if I need any help.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is organised very well I always have tasks / work set so I’m never not doing anything. I also have monthly meeting with my apprenticeship trainer this helps to go over if I’m struggling with anything or if I need more work etc.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive loads of support from the managers. They are constantly asking if I need any help with any of the work I have been set. Or if they can teach me something new.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I also receive loads of support from my training provider. They help to explain certain things I’m unsure about and talks me through some modules if I’m a little stuck. They are always trying to find ways to help improve any answers which can be better.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps me perform better because it tells me that I do know these things and now I can start showing it in my job role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not that I know of yet however we have planned to go for some work meals together as a team

  • 9a. Would you recommend Savers to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Since starting here I have been told by friends and family that I have a lot happier and am showing myself in a much better way. Also the team is amazing you will not ever feel like you can’t be yourself. I feel like you can just fit right in with no judgement from anyone.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savers?
  • Not to be afraid to start at the company because it’s amazing, you don’t need to hide who you are you can be yourself. A tip I would give is to prepare to be working all the time because there is always things to do which is a good thing.
