  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme as I get a good level of satisfaction from my role, however it is a big adjustment from college but I have felt very supported on any challenges or problems I have had to face.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My day to day role is extremely well organised with my future plans obvious to me and achievable, however the university section of my apprenticeship is not as well structured. Although the course work has been much more interesting in recent times the first few felt a little forced. Also the cohort is way to large with some members attending the in person lectures we rarely get having little to no interest.

  • I receive a lot of support on any request I may have. This comes from colleagues, mentors, my line manager, and many more that all have time for me if I need somebody for help/support.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive somewhat of support through email which is always going to be challenging, with a recent request not being answered it gets hard to receive the support. Also with no social events put on for my years cohort when on campus meeting and getting to know other apprentices from other companies has been difficult.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My first two assignments have helped with work place skills and finding out more about my company. I really enjoyed this and it helped me to settle into my role when starting as it informed me on how a company works. However 2/3 assignments have tailored towards warehouse work which i will never have to use in my current role but will become beneficial in the long run.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I play in a pool league and 5 a side with both apprentices and colleagues in my department, there is events that take place that are more social however I do not enjoy how it feels mostly like a school trip and more forced when I have attended.

  • 9a. Would you recommend AstraZeneca to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend AstraZeneca to a friend as it is an excellent work atmosphere where i have found everybody is there to support myself through my early stages of my career and support me on things I want to be able to achieve down the line.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
  • Keep an open mind going into your role. Even though it may seem as though something is unachievable, I have found that nine times out of ten that if you set your mind to it you will be able to achieve your desired goal.
