As a site engineer the day to day includes writing up permits, completing surveys and creating CAD drawings for the job.
Plenty of new skills the most riveting is using the total station getting out on the beach and doing surveys is very enjoyable.
On site work is very enjoyable and rewarding. the only problem is the Uni is very tedious.
very organised great individuals at work working alongside great apprentices who keep me encouraged to excel and keep me on track to success.
loads of support whenever issues arise there is plenty of support to push through these troubles.
Loads of additional lectures and study equipment to help me get prepared for Uni work
I would say not much. So far I have implemented little to none of my Uni work into my job on site the only module that had something to do with my site role was survey skills but everything I learnt in that module I had already been doing on site.
after work socials held most months.
Yes
The work on site is very rewarding and enjoyable at the moment I'm working on Mundesley beach which is great as its somewhere I went a lot as a kid so to do some meaningful work here is great. The people at work are also great very supporting in helping me develop.
Have a good Cv and apply even if your grades are not the best mine weren't.
