  • Collating information from various sources, creating excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, maintaining and updating SharePoint sites. Any ad-hoc requests that come in and support for other members of the team. Keeping the stakeholders updated with the progress of the various items we are currently working on.

  • I have developed my excel, PowerPoint and video editing skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am finding it very enjoyable and interesting having to use new tools to complete parts of the programme.

  • It is very well structured with set goals throughout the month with assignments to complete to check my understanding.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I am given a day a week to complete my apprenticeship work and I am also able to complete some if my workload allows during the other days.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have regular meetings with my coach were we go through different topics and if I need help with something we will look at that as well.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It is giving me a greater understanding of the requirements for the role and more confidence to apply what I know to the tasks.

  • There are lots of activities that people can get involved with along with different support groups.

  • Yes

  • The overall benefits of working for the civil service that include a good pension, continuous training opportunities and the ability to gain professional qualifications while working.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Department for Work and Pensions?
  • Read the job advert more than once and try to break it down so you can show how you meet each point it is asking for. Look at the candidate pack and if you require any support or information reach out.
