  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Emerging Talent Consultant, responsible for early career programmes in the business from recruiting, onboarding and training. This involved large cohort sizes, events management and providing adequate training for graduates in the business

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Early on in the apprenticeship so hard to say. Started to pick up skills surrounding communication and discussion around differing opinions in the industry, discussing topics that arent within my work remit and being inquisitive to others.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy learning the theory surrounding HR practices and being able to see how i can implement into my role, i enjoy also being able to challenge my own position and how i can make improvements in becoming a people professional.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure is formatted well allowing time between workshops. Again as it is early on it is hard to depict how this structure will be with each different module and if this keeps up, but currently i am enjoying the amount learnt in each session.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Good level of support, time given in working week to work towards my apprenticeship and brought up in meetings weekly to discuss progress

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Good level of support, my coach and I are in regular contact and she answers my questions with a quick response. Cannot comment on assignment support as not at this stage yet.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Strongly agree, this is giving me different perspectives and ways to challenge myself in my current role, making me more well rounded and confident in my approach.

  • Lots of networking opportunities and events, sports clubs and social events regularly.
