  • Measuring, planning and designing kitchens to sell to customers, while managing and maintaining an accurate lead bank while trying to maximise on conversion rate and margin profitability.

  • learned how to plan accurately on cad. Learned how to deal with different customer types and build confidence when speaking and closing deals to customers.

  • Hard to balance programme with job role as business needs always take over.

  • Programme itself is well structured and easy to follow

  • Not masses always there to ask questions to but again business needs always takes over as priority

  • Training provider always on hand and responsive if i have any questions and provide monthly reviews for progress updates as well as workshops

  • definetly gives me new things to try and out and test and helps build up confidence

  • Not often, occasionally there are incentive days for depots to attend

  • 9a. Would you recommend Howdens to a friend?
  • No


  • 9b. Why?
  • Salary is borderline minimum wage (excluding bonus) for skilled work and added sales pressures. Bonus scheme is decent if targets are hit. 40 hour weeks are a bonus but it depends how its run in depot I'm fortunate to have a routine that works for me


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Howdens?
  • Be open to learn and develop to move up roles within depot.
