  • I am required to test software by writing test cases, completing these tests by running them and logging outcomes. I am also trusted with self-improvement and continuous learning.

  • I have massively developed my Java coding skills and have learnt many new skills such as functional/non-functional testing. I have also improved on my ability to manage my time thanks to different projects/deadlines set through ONEFILE (app provided)

  • As I have an immense passion for software and coding, I am thoroughly enjoying my course.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • As not many of my specific course has been run in the past there are still some minor holes in the course due to unreasonable expectations, however as the course continues to evolve and grow this will no longer be an issue.

  • I receive as much support as I would like, if I ever ask a question it will be answered and if I do not reach out for a while then someone will reach out to me.

  • I receive as much support as I would like, if I ever ask a question it will be answered or if I am unsure of what to do next, and if I do not reach out for a while then someone will reach out to me.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • As my qualification goes hand in hand with the role I will be performing, it assists me greatly in performing my role to a higher standard.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is a football team and other sporting activities like run club, professionally I have already attended an Awards Night in Hilton in Brighton and a Christmas party in Cardiff.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They are a highly prestigious company that offer everything at their disposal for your improvement. They truly care for your future and want you to be the best person in and out of the company. There are NO stupid questions and there's always help to be given.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Legal & General?
  • Be yourself. Professional of course, but don't put on a face. Your passion and willingness to learn is important for your role and your future, your favourite film or holiday maybe is what will kickstart your networking and incorporation into our collaborative network.
