In my day to day I work with brands to curate content from the C4 remit that work for their sponsorships, this can be doing things like editing, writing copy, briefing designers for thumbnails etc
Yes, I have learnt how to effectively write copy for social media and am learning how to brief designers for thumbnail creation that draws in audiences.
It's been a wonderful experience so far and I'm really enjoying myself, the team and culture at C4 is amazing!
Extremely well organised, I can tell a lot of thought has gone into this programme and I don't feel like I'm left doing nothing at any moment. I think a portion of it is focused on self lead work so as long as you take initiative you'll get the most out of it.
More than I could ever ask for, any accommodation I need is met with kindness and I feel safe talking to my line manager and team.
My trainer is always on hand when I need to ask a question, I feel confident that he will ensure I pass this course with flying colours.
I believe it fits perfectly, everything I learn in my apprenticeship, there is a reason for it in my role. And if there's ever something I don't feel is relevant to my role, I still feel a benefit in learning it as it is good knowledge for the wider industry.
Yes, I am part of the Cultural Working Group where we ensure diversity and inclusion is prioritised in the workplace and I am also a part of the Apprentice Show cohort where all C4 Apprentices produce a piece of content we have created!
Yes
As a workplace, it is a lovely, friendly, accommodating environment with forward thinkers and employers who welcome everyone. As a creative organisation, they are risk takers and I love working for a place that isn't afraid to stand up for what is right.
During interview stages, you'll get a task to complete. If you're applying for a creative role like I was, take risks, throw some fun and whacky ideas out! Channel 4 are risk takers and they're bold, and they love it when they see you have understood that and thought of some really fun and creative ideas!
