Looking after construction packages, issuing out instructions and reviewing payment applications. I also draft orders which places subcontractors in legally binding contracts.
I have learnt a vast amount of skills from working from BAM. My construction knowledge has ten folded but more importantly my confidence conveying information to people has increased from working for BAM.
I enjoy the programme I am on very much as it gives me a mixture of learning in the classroom to adopting that on site.
My programme is well structured however sometimes, I do not get enough time to work on college work such as Appendices or progressing on with my EPA due to responsibilities on site.
I recieve alot of site based support from my project team, however I wouldn't say that I have as much support from higher up.
Leeds College of building is very good when it comes to providing support with people still checking in on me when I am on site.
I believe that it is a good start off in the industry and it gives you a first impetus of what the role will entail however without site experience, you can never truly perform better in your role.
Yes, there is a sports and social club that sends out activities to do every month such as ski lessons, days out to the races and concerts.
