I support with the onboarding of new starters in my role, whilst learning and assisting with operation tasks (processing absence, maternity/paternity, etc) and doing other projects on the side
Throughout my apprenticeship so far I have already delved into subjects like business culture and the importance of having a good working environment. Along with looking into data analytics, how to present and look into the data. These are the main skills, just so far.
I'm really enjoying the programme and the subjects we are studying. I've already been able to use knowledge and skills gained on the course, in my day to day role therefore making my job more enjoyable and interesting, and being able to bring more value to my team.
It took me a first weeks to get settled and understand the logistics of the programme, however once I had met with my mentor and she clarified things, it became alot more straightforward and now I know what I need to do and when.
I've received so much support and encouragement from my line manager, colleagues and also senior HR staff members have seen me working on my course and have offered their support and advice. The learning environment has been really comfortable and super supportive. People have really taken an interest.
We have bi monthly, and quarter monthly meetings to answer any queries or give any extra support that I might need.
I feel this learning experience is helping me in my every day role in my confidence, knowledge and decision making.
Not many currently, however it is something we can look to start supporting
Yes
I am incredibly grateful to my company and senior leaders for funding and supporting me through this apprenticeship. The support behind me has given me the confidence to be able to have the knowledge, back it up and ask relevant questions, all of which is progressing my professional career.
I would advise to research the business, what services we provide and the history of the organisation - it's a massive part in what we do and the service we want to keep providing across all areas of the business. If you bring value, it will definitely be reciprocated.
