On a day-to-day basis, I liaise with many different employees across not only the commercial team, but teams all over the project. I also take on various tasks assisting different teams for examples the operations or accounting teams. However, I primarily drill down on subcontract management and forecasting within the core commercial team helping provide a view of the direction the project is heading.
Yes many key skills including: -confidence effective speaking -attention to detail -all sorts of it skills -handle situations under pressure

it is great, i attend university once a week and work along side my degree making it the most time effective programme if you want to gain experience and a qualification
at first the support you need is high, which isn't a bad thing, but as you gradually progress, you get given more responsibility and freedom
you can book meetings with your training provider and identify what you need to work on etc
if provides knowledge that you can use throughout your role. you also gain a qualification which gives you more of a name and make you look more professional
there are networking events at all different skanska sites, and there is different sporting chances like the 5-a-side team on the A428 project
Yes
Skanska primarily focus on how to improve you as an apprentice and give you key opportunities to grow as a role but also as a person. Skanska are a huge name in the construction and can be a great gateway into the industry
research different projects take every chance you get to show your face and meet new people
