The company I work for is amazing, there is a lot of work but it is managable. It is just very long.
Engineering, programming, lots of different software, soft skills such as presentation skills and communication, management, BIM, Digital, others.
I think that I enjoy the work side of things the most and the university work supports my work. The Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) work for my future. The university work is the worst part and the course is very long, so can feel draining when also working too.
The programme is really structured and I get a lot of support from work when necessary.
Lots and lots of support whenever I need it.
I think that the support is there if I need it or ask for it but it is usually not too required.
I think that it is typically the other way round where my role helps my qualification but there are definitely times where I feel more informed.
There are a lot of extra curricular activities with an entire Sports and Social team within each office that create events almost weekly. I have been to multiple conferences in multiple different locations and even got to go abroad for some too.

They are a great company that is employees first. I think that in a world where companies will take advantage of their employees, Mott MacDonald is management owned and has an appreciation that a happy worker is a good worker.
I think be yourself, show your interest in improving society and show that you have a personality that alignes with our company morals/ethos.
