my job role wasn't a drop down option so I chose "operations and logistics". In my day-to-day role, I monitor the Responsible Business inbox, triaging and responding to both external and internal enquiries. These range from volunteering and fundraising requests to external requests from charities seeking fundraising or corporate partnerships. I work closely with the volunteering and pro bono manager to organise and facilitate skills-based volunteering programmes for over 3,000 colleagues. As a general Responsible Business (RB) colleague, I also collaborate with our diversity and inclusion manager and environmental manager to collect and report data on gender pay gaps and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in our offices.
I have developed my excel skills as well as my writing techniques through various internal and external communication pieces.
My tutor, line manager and RB team have allowed this programme to be extremely enjoyable. I am learning a lot and feel extremely supported.
Extremely organised. My tutor makes it clear what is expected for every assignment and always provides helpful feedback.
My employer and line manager specifically are very supportive. My "off-the job hours" are always protected and my team ensures I get the support I need to complete my assignments.
All the support I need. I have regular 1-2-1's where I can discuss any questions I have and make sure I always have clarity on what I need to do to meet my end point assessments.
I am able to take things I have learned from my apprenticeship to my team meetings and make suggestions. Such as new ways of working, as well as being able to participate in conversations about things I wasn't sure about before.
Yes. My workplace does a lot of charity and fundraising events where whole offices come together. We also have end of year, summer and Christmas socials.
