At the beginning my day to day was very much learning the different processes and procedures at Computacenter, and watching videos online to get me set up for projects. 1-2 months in, I started working on projects, mostly just listening in on the communication types and various meetings involved in running a project. As I was getting more confident in projects, I was given the freedom to take on more responsibility, like running meetings, tracking various work streams within a project, and owning and completing some key documentation.
I have heavily developed my communication and confidence skills when talking to people within the workplace. I have also learnt beneficial organisational and planning skills as well as increasing my corporate vocabulary.
I really enjoy all aspects of it. I think the training provider is great and gives the right level of support and training to carry out my day to day role effectively. Within Computacenter they have been very supportive, always asking if I am comfortable and if I need help. They have let me go at my own pace, relieving me of any potential stress.
Very well organised as there is a clear plan with my training provider, giving a clear structure to my training plan and what levels of knowledge and skills I will have at what stage. At Computacenter, there is also a clear structure of the progression. When i started, it was very much based on easing me in and welcoming me, and as the time has went on i see a clear path for my career and what i will be doing in the future.
I receive a great amount of support, not too much or too little. The future talent team have done a great job making sure we are fine within our role and are happy with all the support. They have regular calls giving opportunities for feedback of any issues. In terms of my functional team, they have been nothing but helpful with me when completing any project work. I have regular 1-2-1s with my manager and mentor giving me all the support and help I may need.
They give me great support as we are doing many webinars and workshops, which help with our knowledge. They also have mandatory 1-2-1 with our training officer to ensure we are on track and to discuss any problems we may have. I also have the ability to reach out at any point.
It gives context to the tasks I am completing in my role, as it allows me to link these tasks with the topics I am learning with my course. Learning these topics also help me carry out these project tasks as it gives me a great basis as I have already learnt them.
We have team meeting's every month where we discuss things as a team and go out for drinks and a meal afterwards. I would like to go to more events held my Computacenter.

I have nothing but good things to say about my apprenticeship. Everyone is so lovely and helpful and this has given me skills for life in only 6 months. I have also made great relationships. I truly belief this has been the best choice to kickstart my career.
Be confident, work hard, and truly want it.
