My role involves assisting project managers to ensure project activities go smoothly. I have one day a week to do my university study work.
I have developed my communication, governance and organisational skills, effective teamwork
Currently I am really enjoying my programme, I’ve formed strong relationships with my team and find it a supportive work environment
The structure of the programme is well structured in regard to the university work, following a chronological order that I can apply to my work
I receive a lot of support from my employer, from my manager and surrounding team, and also the HR sector in Computacenter. I feel very comfortable to raise any concerns as and when they do arise
I receive a lot of support from my training provider, with a designated Skills Coach assigned who I have regular 1-1 meetings with
I feel very strongly that the qualification interlinks with my day to day role, covering all areas of project management from finance to marketing
Yes, we have professional networking events that involve entire project teams, we also have different social / outreach events among the apprentice network which is encouraged by the early careers team.
Yes
Computacenter is a supportive environment that has eased my transition into a corporate job, I’ve built strong relationships with the rest of my cohort and look forward to learning more on my course
I think it’s important to be comfortable at the assessment centre and understand no one is trying to catch you out, take the pressure off of yourself and let your personality come through
