  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work at Computacenter as an apprentice software developer, developing in T-SQL. I am responsible for writing and building code, identifying areas that can be improved and Participating with BAU (Business as usual). During all of this I work with my team and interacted with customers that are requesting work (reports being built) that need to be completed.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Communication skills have improved massively as partaking in meeting rooms. Overall programming skills have improved as part of my day to day work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Love what I do. Everyone at Computacenter are always there to help even if u got loads of questions.

  • my programme is well structured aligning up well with what I am learning in my apprenticeship.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have weekly catch ups with line managers. Monthly I have a technical 121 to see where I am with my technical knowledge. If I have any other questions to ask the future talent team at Computacenter they are happy to help

  • Whenever I get stuck with apprenticeship work. They ate happy to help whenever needed

  • It gave me more structure in my day to day work.

  • I attend outreach events, hosting podcasts and monthly apprentice meet ups.
