  • Administration duties, to include uploading paperwork, payroll, training, onboarding, recognition

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, have an indepth knowledge of practices that I wouldn't initally have encountered in my current role. Im learning new skills with powerpoint presnetations and excel spreadsheets too.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I'm finding it interesting and do enjoy completing a module. Its a great sense of achievement to pass each section and learn new skills

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The Aptem system is a great tool to use as a guide to how far along you are, I like the monthly tasks being set so ther is a goal to aim for. Meetings with my coach are regular too and nothing is too much trouble.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My manager is brilliant and gives me all the time I need to complete my apprenticeship work. They also give me tasks to help with my off the job training too.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I had a coach for my functional skills math, the support was brilliant with regular meetings. Same with my Apprenticeship, my coach is always avaialble and we have regular meetings. She is very knowledgable and inspiring.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Its is giving me more insight into working practices, giving me an understanding of projects for example helps me to realsie how much hard work goes into the background work. Its giving me confidence to do and learn more.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Its a great company to work for. The welbeing of staff is a priority. There are great career progressions within the company too.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to B&Q?
  • You can be yourself, personality means alot and B&Q value this.
