I am a Backup and Recovery Engineer and I work with a team which monitors the servers for DXC all over the country and we do daily checks to assure they are all working the way they should be.
I have gained a multitude of new Tech skills since starting my role along with building my confidence and teamworking skills with my new colleagues.
I have loved every second of my programme it has been a great experience since the start.
The apprenticeship programme is very well structured for each different apprenticeship role you choose and helps guide you on the right path.
I can always get in touch with my managers anytime I need help and they will always be open to any questions or problems I have and give me any help I require.
I can get in touch with my mentors or training providers anytime I need i can also attend calls for training or just to go through some practice questions.
There is so many qualifications you can obtain that you can find one that is better suited to you and your role whether it is Tech or Business, you can expand your knowledge in your certain area with qualifications.
There is so many engagement activities constantly going on at DXC and there is so many colleagues you can build relationships with to go and do activities outside of work. For example we have a football team in the office and we go play every week, it is a great way of building our relationships.
