My Role at DXC is working for different clients, and assisting with the maintenance of databases, which is achieved by learning programming languages like SQL and implementing this into a Linux operating system.
Linux and SQL are some Technical skills i have developed Business etiquette and professionalism are the other skills i have developed working in an office environment
I really enjoy the program i am in, i get to develop a skill that i want to learn and be amongst similar minded individuals who motivate me to come in and do my best every day.
I'd say its decently structured, the onboarding process could be faster to help you get working in your roles quicker.
Yes i frequently have meetings with my managers, to ensure i am on track to complete my degree apprenticeship while also finding areas of work which seamlessly integrates the content I learn at university.
The collogues I work with are very supportive, and their technical knowledge is excellent therefore I know I can rely on them for advice and help for any qualification I partake in.
Due to my limited technical knowledge prior joining DXC, i was worried i would be behind, but the qualifications that you partake in, help me on a day to day basis feel more confident in my ability
There is a great group of people that onboarded together, so the engagement events we have are really fun. We also have a office 7-aside gets quite competitive! Furthermore we have STEM events which shows how much there is to look forward to and be part of when joining DXC
Yes
I'd say its a great place to learn and and develop your skills to further your career, while doing it with great people alongside you which makes the whole process much more fun. The support you will get is great, which makes you want to work harder everyday.
Be yourself! show off who you really are, and be passionate in what you want to do. Even if u have little technical knowledge, don't think it will hold you back as DXC is a company where you can develop those skills.
