  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes - several new skills as a result of working in a high pressure environment. Existing skills have been further developed due to client-facing role

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Completed my level 4 apprenticeship in November. I am now completing an Associate Chartered Management Consultant status - this qualification has been trickier so far and much less clear how to go about beginning.

    7/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Structure is lacking - the programme comprises a set of 'advised' learning courses, and then an application. The application is self-explanatory, however the 'advised' learning is largely stuff that I already know and would not be a productive use of my time

    5/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I can contact my manager when I want to - we also have monthly check-ins. I rely on support from other colleagues who are ahead of me in the qualification more so

    6/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • JMC - really good Associate Chartered - support could be greater, especially at the start

    7/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • my JMC qualification really helped me better perform in my job role because it helped directly develop my core consulting skills.

    8/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I am involved in the apprentice community wellbeing team - I am a team lead. Alongside this, I frequently play football with people on my project and attend networking events as and when possible

    9/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend IBM to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Good opportunities to grow throughout your career here. I think that it is easy to see your progression, however it can sometimes be too linear - for example, not being able to go for promotions due to length of time you have been working, rather than work performance.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
  • Research the company
