As a JMC apprentice, 80% of our time was dedicated to project work where we had to work towards achieving KSB's. The other 20% was dedicated to a learning pathway which taught us skills to apply to practical work
My apprenticeship helped grow my personal management skills, adaptability skills and stakeholder management skills.
The program was challenging which made it enjoyable, I was exposed to things which were out of my comfort zone which helped me grow and develop as a consultant.
The program is very well structured and organised. Our managers would make sure to have regular check-ins to ensure that we feel supported and had the correct guidance.
I receive a good level of support from my employer, my manager is regularly checking in about my work but also any other issues such as things which go on personally.
IBM was the training provider for my apprenticeship so it was well supported as mentioned previously
It has helped me quite a lot as it has helped be create a foundation to build on through practical project work
Yes, there are lots of extra-curricular activities such as giveback, socials, sports teams and networking g events
Yes
It is a very supportive place to work filled with so much opportunity. I have found that everyone is always happy to help and IBM encourage you to explore and get involved with your passions.
Be open minded, don't be afraid to make mistakes and put yourself out there - lots of opportunities can arise through a strong network.
