My role varies a lot on a day to day basis. Some things include attending enquiries and surveying painting jobs, pricing these jobs up and sending quotes. Managing jobs like setting up RAMS, managing it throughout in aim to make a profit. Timesheets and wages for operatives is also included.
I have learnt many new skills and developed on my existing skills in my time at Bagnalls. Prior to starting I had 0 knowledge on the painting industry or managing contracts, however I would now consider myself to have strong knowledge on this due to great training provided.
I enjoy working at Bagnalls very much. My role varies day to day and I am always kept busy with different tasks to do. I also work with great colleagues within my branch, as well as the company as a whole, and feels like a close knit group throughout.
The programme I am on has a very clear and organised structure. It is clear on what I will be assessed on throughout my programme, and the different time frames I will be assessed on these.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. Whenever I need help or taught anything, they are always available to help, and this is also nationally across the group, not just internally within my branch.
As previously mentioned, the support within the company is great and I am able to ask for help or training with anything at any time.
It improves my knowledge about the construction industry and the laws and regulations that we need to follow under CDM etc.
We have a social gathering each Christmas, and attend painting and decorating shows.
