  • I handle the packages of subcontractors for a new construction project in Dudley. This includes contracts, payments and other documents needed for an order

  • My microsoft excel skills have increased significantly. I have learnt to use several softwares such as bluebeam to help broaden my knowledge of the job as a whole

  • I enjoy what I do here, i like creating spreadsheets and managing money

  • Very well structured, there are goals to be set and reached and performance review meetings to keep on top of these

  • My supervisor constantly supports the work i do and helps explain if i am confused with anything

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Good support. I go to university once a week but when i have quiet periods at work i can complete uni work inbetween tasks so i dont fall behind

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i learn the theory behind the work i do daily so it helps me understand why i am doing it. For example, i learn about BIM which is used in every part of this job

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The company occasionally puts courses on to learn about things such a new contracts. We have social activities like work nights out to make sure everyone gets to know eachother.

  • Yes

  • It is a great company to work for, they support each part of your apprenticeship and provide excellent experience to help excel within your chosen discipline


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vinci?
  • Understand the job role as much as possible, learn skills like excel in advance to get a head start. Complete good research on the company
