  • Creation, maintenance, management and deployment of marketing materials. Scanning documents for unique points to help determine the commercial strategy of the portfolio. Ensuring compliance according to the ABPI code. Understanding and providing insights on the financial reports. Tracking new marketing authorisations for new generic companies as a brand looses its exclusivity. Presenting expert level insights to my team. Working cross-functionally to engage with colleagues in order to find best practices and complete de-branding of older brands.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme as I feel the impact I make to my team and also patients which are at our core. As an apprentice you anticipate you may not be given as much responsibilities but working with Pfizer on the marketing manager apprenticeship programme I feel enriched and fulfilled.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of Pfizer is very strategic in order to provide the correct resources to each team as required. My daily and weekly tasks are well structured and remain consistent through out my time at Pfizer thus far. The responsibilities are valuable and important to my team but are also proportionate to my own professional leve.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer has been more than helpful and supportive throughout this process. This started from submitting my application to my current position with the organisation. I have had non-work related struggles over the past 3 months and my employer and line manager and been giving me support when required and also providing me with additional resources that I may use at my inclination.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • - Monthly tutorials - A review meeting after every quarter (7 quarters across 2 years) - A clear and organised learning platform

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It has allowed me to understand the commercial strategy that may be used during the tenders and contracts process for my portfolio. As I am still within the beginning of my role trying to align the work that I am doing with Pfizer and through my training provider has provided challenges. My line manager and myself are actively making progress on this as she understands the value and importance.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are constantly new emerging events at Pfizer which makes it a really exciting and immersive place to work. This can be ensuring boost of moral such as ice cream Wednesday's or raising awareness on a specific therapy area. I am also involved within the early careers network where I will be engaging with future potential apprentices and providing them insights into what my day looks like and what the job role entails.

  • Be authentic and yourself as showing your own character and personality is encouraged here. Develop your own hard and soft skills and how they may be valuable to Pfizer.
