  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I usually do the documents that are needed to support real estate transactions. I also email photographers so they can take photos of our properties. I get a chance to view developments around my office, and in other parts of London. I also assist with any tasks that are emailed to me throughout the day.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to effectively speak to the people who have enquired on properties, on the phones. I have also learnt how I should go about viewings and rules to follow

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am really enjoying my programme. I feel like its most enjoyable when I am busy, as it can feel less exciting on days where I don't have many tasks. However, as the months go on, I have been given more responsibilities.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I fell like the programme is very well structured since I am part of a big company. I know exactly what i can do for my future rotations and everything is organised well.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel like there is some support available but it can be confusing to navigate everything. I also feel like not always possible to get help immediately, as it sometimes takes days before someone can respond.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I don't think anything I have learnt in university has directly impacted my work performance, however I have only done 2 modules, so this may change.

    4/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many activities that people get involved in, but I'm usually not sure how they know about what events are coming up, as they don't always invite every team. But I do receive many emails about company evets.

  • 9a. Would you recommend CBRE to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel like all of the teams are very friendly, and it is a very big real estate company, so I am able to see very nice luxury apartments and penthouses.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CBRE?
  • I would encourage everyone to be confident as my role requires me to speak to people on the phone. Also, be yourself, as you would want to feel comfortable at work.
