On the day to day I work on Incidents that occur in software throughout the company that were not able to be solved by Service Desk. I work on application support, windows and macOS support as well as projects to improve the end-user experience.
I have learned how to troubleshoot computer systems, learned how to develop Scripts using Windows PowerShell to automate and solve issues. I have extensive knowledge of Windows and macOS command lines. All learned whilst on the job. My ability to speak to users has also improved.
I find my programme very enjoyable as I am able to learn about the back end of computer systems. Everyday is different and I never have a day where work becomes boring. It is great being able to problem solve everyday.
To an extent yes. However the way information is delivered in bulks by our training provider can be improved. On the contrary, the timing for assignments and work to be done is very specific for my programme making it easier for me to organise my time. However, there is not enough insight into my future beyond my apprenticeship.
Our employer is great. We receive support for all types of well-beings as well as extensive support with our of the job and on the job training.
The training provider provide countless resources and time to help us learn and pass our apprenticeship as well as other exams on the way. They push us to succeed. When studying they provide links to YouTube videos, as well as practice exams, labs and Books to help us study.
My Qualification is more related to working on IT Solutions rather than working as a support engineer. It focuses on working with clients and creating a product to fix a business problem or issue. However, the technical knowledge that I have learned from my qualifications supports me in my day to day role.
Multiple events take place. Team meals, trips to other offices, going out with your team and also going to networking events. We also have many outreach events and programmes where you can volunteer to present and meet the public. There are many events to socialise.

Computacenter is a great company that provides a lot of support to the employees. They have amazing Morales and a very good community that are all able to support whenever you like. They are great with building apprentices from the ground up.
Do not be shy with your application. Show your interest and skills without worrying to much about your grades or qualifications. Computacenter invests in peoples and not qualifications.
