As a year 2 apprentice, I have started doing my placements around the plant. You cover the core areas of Assembly, Paintshop and Body and White. There are also sub areas which you do around the plant to ensure you are busy throughout the year. They are 12 weeks long, and you have to do logbooks and TPD's on your area. This is perfect opportunity to be involved with the business and to advertise yourself in the business.
you learn many new skills in maintenance, they teach you skills in mechanical, pneumatical, fluid power, hydraulically and electrical. it helps you expand your technical skills within the company, as it is very important when regarding being maintenance.
