I work in Quality Control. Assisting with the updates of a materials Propsal Schedule and ITP trackers. I assist in all aspect of quality for M&E within the C610 project
I have been developing my admin skills as well as diplomatic skills. I have attended training courses about quality documeenatation and working practices
I enjoy the programme immenseley as there is a good diversity of the role within M&E. I deal with construction staff through to senior manages and like to knpw what is going on in the project as a whole and ensure things are done to the highest quality
I feel very valued as they are putting a lot of trust in me to carry out what I feel is an important position within our project and providing the funding and support to put me through my higher apprenticeship
The programme is well structured and well organised. Any changes to the programme are dealt with in the most professional way and the communication within the group is excellent.
I haven't started the college course to date but we did go to the college and the staff there took us through all the details of the course that we were to be undertaking, who would be assessing our NVQs and the accomodation that we would be staying at
There is good support from my employee and they are very approachable if there are any queries or problems that need to be raised.
I have difficulty with the costs of living at the minute as I am working away from home and currently am maintaining a mortgage on a house and paying rent to be nearer to work.
I have opportunities outside of work during the evening, having been invited to networking events and events where I can learn more about things that are relevant to my job
Yes
They have been good to me and offered me an opportunity that I wouldn't necessarily had a chance to take. They are encouraging of any further training that is to be undertaking as long as it is work related and relates to the role that I carry out here.
To look at all the jobs that they have on offer and see what they would like to do. Also, for them to point out the experience that they have gained in previous employment and how it relates to the position that they are applying for, as not to be overlooked if they lack some experience in one area, but could add a lot of value to the company in other areas.
