Subcontractor management. Paying subcontractors and doing reports.
I started this role with no previous experience in the construction industry but have learnt a lot of new information and picked up many new skills within a few months.
The program is great as it enables you to meet new people. Such a great atmosphere, everyone you work would is highly supportive. There are many great opportunities.
Study days take place once per week, along with daily catch ups with my manager. I am able to have different goals which are either short term or long term and I am given a lot of support from my colleagues.
A large amount of support is provided. People can help guide you through your apprenticeship and give you amazing advise. You can also easily reach out to apprentices who have been in the company longer than you and ask them many questions. You can even easily connect with peers who are the same age as you.
A lot of support. They advise me on my coursework and answer any questions or worries which I might have. Monthly calls also take place with your provider and your manager, allowing your manager to see what you have been up to.
The qualification that I am working towards would help me to gain a wider understanding of my role and the tasks which I carry out on a daily process.
There are events to attend which allow me to interact with other early careers from across the UK. In addition to this, there are also monthly commercial meetings where I can learn more skills which I can apply into my work.
