My role involves daily standups and project management tasks. I interact daily with team members coordinating tasks to hit goals. I work on one project that is internal.
I have learned multiple skills. I was given the opportunity to try coding and develop it into a skill. I was able to use my time to complete training courses and then put into practice what I had to learned on my project.
I enjoy my programme and find the split between Uni and work to be a good place to learn. I am able to use what I learn in uni on my daily work.
The programme is structured well and is straightforward to follow. You can stay organised easily but it can be just as easy to become unorganised if you are not keeping on top of your work.
IBM has been very supportive of me. Whenever I have any queries there is always someone to go to if I need help. There is a big emphasis at IBM about being the best you can be, by growing and learning.
MMU has been very helpful. MMU provides a skills coach who is always there to provide help and answer any questions I may have. My skills coach makes sure I am on track to achieve my targets so I do not fall behind.
The subjects covered in my qualification help me get a better understanding on how to complete my role better and the skills needed in the role.
IBM always has activities you can get involved with. There are socials after work almost everyday and countless inclusive events held within the workplace. There is a real sense of community within IBM.
Yes
My experience at IBM has been great and provided me with a number of experiences and opportunities.
Personally I found it beneficial in the interview processes to be outgoing and easy to talk to. It is also important to be yourself.
