As a UX Design Consultant, my role involves improving digital products by enhancing user experience, usability, and overall design effectiveness. Day-to-day, this includes analysing data to identify pain points, benchmarking other products and services and creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows. I collaborate with multiple stakeholders to align design strategies with business goals. It is a balance of creativity, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
I have continuously developed my design skills through hands-on projects, research, and industry insights. I’ve enhanced my ability to create intuitive user flows and wireframes by working on real-world applications, strengthening my ability to align UX strategies with business goals.
I thoroughly enjoy being a UX Design Degree Apprentice at IBM and MMU, it has allowed me to gain valuable hands-on experience while studying industry-leading practices. The combination of academic learning and real-world projects has built me a strong foundation for a successful career!
As a programme it is well structured and organised. Weeks attending university are always provided far in advance and are well thought out to suit working individuals.
High level of support is provided from both my mentors and colleagues. Regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and networking opportunities within IBM further enhance my learning and growth whilst studying.
MMU provide a great level of support throughout the course. With ample opportunities and ability to contact and receive assistance across a broad range of topics. Further events and networking opportunities to get to know others.
My qualification through MMU has been highly beneficial in helping me perform better in my UX Design role at IBM. The structured learning approach, including assignments on emerging technologies like augmented reality and IoT, has expanded my problem-solving skills and ability to design innovative user experiences.
