  • I enjoy the work at Cummins but not the college work - no fault of college i am just not an academic person

  • Planning wasnt 100% in place for me when i came in, and a lot of re structures at college so not the best

  • not the most, more from my bosses/peers rather than the actual apprenticeship person

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • training provider is good now, but there was a lot of restructure at the beginning of the year

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Id say it helps slightly but the things we learn at college are very different to what i do personally at work, but i guess its good to have the background knowledge but if it was more relevant to work it would be good

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, we have some but i feel the communication about these could be better structured

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I enjoy my job role and i like the people i work with, i think it genuinely depends on who you are surrounded with, and how much you actually enjoy your job, for example i had a previous office role apprenticeship and didn't enjoy it at all where as I really enjoy my job at Cummins but not so much the college side


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Cummins?
  • ensure it is 100% what you want to do and don't be afraid to speak up if you don't enjoy your role, there are other opportunities around the business and there are people who will be willing to help you get to where you want to be :)
