My role as an apprentice involves attending maintenance, diagnostic and fault repairs jobs at customer sites for MRI and X-ray equipment.
This role helps me develop engineering skills such as mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and electronic skills.
I enjoy working on medical equipment that is used to help everyday people.
My apprenticeship programme is well laid out and I understand the expectations of the role due to in-depth training and discussions.
My employer supports me with all aspects of the job, future career planning and independent situations.
My training provider provides a Training Development Assistant (TDA) that is always at hand to support with workloads and End Point Assessment (EPA) learning.
My qualification helps mostly with performing the job role I am aiming to achieve at the end of the apprenticeship. Some areas are background knowledge which may not be used everyday, but having the basic understanding helps lead on to more learning aspects.
Yes, Siemens Healthineers provide 2 volunteering days a year for charities, host forums events for team building and extra training is always available if enquired.
