  • Reporting compliance - supporting legislative compliance for big corporations mainly in the UK however, initially in the EU. These are predominantly energy management schemes

  • Legislative framework - I now have a good understanding of these, the changes and how to comply Leadership skills - I chair a committeee Analytics - analytical development, understanding depth and value to different types of analysis.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it quite a lot. I have a really good manager who allows me to take all opportunities. It’s a very flexible work schedule additionally. I would say that the sustainability apprenticeship could be developed further. As I have had to go quite out of my way to get the opportunities I have had.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I would say that the sustainability apprenticeship could be developed further. As I have had to go quite out of my way to get the opportunities I have had. Also the coverage in the BU I work in doesn’t fully accommodate all the modules we study. Which I have had to again set up so that my collègue and I have this available.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive so much support from not just my manager, my HR business partner and early careers manager. As we are a new scheme next steps are not completely clear

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Lots of support! My training provider is completely online and very flexible as well as my work. They keep on top of your hours and assignments additionally.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It’s helped my develop a new analytical spreadsheet that we use for customers now with our CCA scheme!

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Many!! I do DofE gold, I chair a social committee. I’m an ethics delegate. You can also do first aid at work and mental health first aider. There’s communities that talk about global issues which you can either be a part of or tune in.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have had an abundance of opportunities for my personal development and profile. I have been able to take as many opportunities as I can and put my name forward for multiple events! Which is so important when you work remote!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Schneider Electric?
  • Have confidence in your skills and what you can bring! Use as many examples as you can and be interactive and engaging.
