I am currently engaged in a PM / PMO role that involves frequent communication with clients and manging key day-day processes.
Through my time on an apprenticeship I have learnt a wide range of new skills and developed many more.
I have only recently started this course but am excited to get started with some of the modules. The current module is fairly essay intensive which can start to feel tedious.
The programme is split into clear modules that should be studied each week and is easy to follow. Due to the amount of content, you are at risk of falling behind if for some reason you are not able to take your study day (whether through holiday, illness etc).
My employer could not do more to provide support when required.
They have provided numerous support links and people to contact if required.
My qualification is providing insight into my day-day job and will allow me better understand the roles of other in the organisation as-well as some of the more technical aspects of my role. Some tasks or resources do feel outdated however and so these may not apply so well.
Yes there are numerous events, however I would like to see some more apprentice focused events that allow us to meet and interact with other young professionals (whether its Interns, Grads etc) rather than an event being part of a project or practice.
Yes
In my experience, IBM does a great job at providing strong apprenticeship support with roles that quickly build skills and experience. I have found all managers and senior employees treat you no differently and the company has a strong and welcoming culture.
While applying make sure that you present yourself as you, your interests and what you hope to get out of the apprenticeship.
