I assist with on-site financial reporting, including preparing journal entries for lease accounting purposes, accruing for unbilled expenses, and ensuring transparency and accuracy of records, as well as monitoring balance sheet transactions for accuracy and timeliness. I also take on ad hoc AP responsibilities where needed to ensure that invoices are paid on time and supplier relations are maintained.
I initially came from a non-finance background as a mature student, so being able to gain a working knowledge of finance and accounting has been one of the largest aspects of my apprenticeship.
I incredibly enjoy the programme, both on and off the job,
Great amounts of support and advice from wider team.
